- People give gifts in China. So be ready.
- But do not give a clock, that signifies death.
- Do not give slippers. That means you think the person depends on woman for money.
- Do not give white flowers, except at funerals.
- Unless you want them to commit suicide, do not give them a knife.
- Shaking hands is OK. Hugging is not -- at least when you first meet.
- Never
stick your chopsticks into the bowl of rice, sticking straight up. That
reminds people incense sticks used for praying to the dead.
- Women should not wear low cut dresses, and of course, neatness is important.
- When drinking, make sure you toast with the clients first.
- Do not eat fast.
- Do not lick your fingers. Use chopsticks. They will like that.
- Loud voices are frowned upon.
- When
drinking tea in a pot, the host must serve the tea to the guest. The
guest should tap the table lightly 2-3 times in response.
Oops! There are more than ten ways.
I would be happy to answer your questions.
